We have a motto at Artisan: “Treat that customer as if you are that customer”. It’s with that attitude and service we have been providing the Lower Mainland and Greater Vancouver Area with professional trucking services and quality landscape supplies for over 40 years.

Artisan Contracting installs artificial surfacing solutions — synthetic turf, rubber surfacing, and gravel and rock areas — built around proper excavation, base preparation, and drainage for lasting performance.

Whether it’s a low-maintenance lawn, a safer play or pool area, or a functional gravel yard, we handle every surface type at your home or business.

Artisan Contracting is a division of the Artisan Garden Group, and we’ve been installing outdoor living spaces throughout the Lower Mainland for over 25 years. Artificial surfacing has become one of our more popular and requested services, as more property owners look for low-maintenance alternatives to natural grass, poured concrete, and loose gravel that still hold up to Metro Vancouver’s rain and changing seasons.

Our artificial surfacing work covers synthetic turf installation for lawns, pet areas, and putting greens; rubber surfacing for driveways, patios, pool decks, and other high-traffic areas that need a soft, slip-resistant finish; and gravel and rock areas for pathways, parking pads, and low-maintenance yard spaces. Every installation starts with excavation, grading, and compacted base preparation, with drainage built in from the start — and since we supply and deliver our own gravel and base materials, there’s no separate supplier to coordinate.

Artificial surfacing is a lasting upgrade when it’s installed on a properly engineered base — it holds up through the seasons instead of shifting, pooling water, or wearing down within a few years. Key benefits of working with us on this service:
• Low-maintenance surfaces that don’t need mowing, watering, or resealing
• Slip-resistant, family- and pet-safe rubber surfacing for patios, pools, and play areas
• Turf and gravel systems built with proper drainage, so water moves through instead of pooling
• One team for design, materials, and installation, with our own gravel and base supply in-house
• Durable results built for our local rain, soil movement, and freeze-thaw cycles.
